This was stated by presenting the tenth edition of the Buy Wine Toscana today, Monday 3 February, at Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati, the regional councilor for agriculture, Marco Remaschi, who then specified: “What goes from BuyWine Toscana to the Previews of Tuscany, this year, is a rich and articulated program, a program that has met not only the participation of operators, producers and the specialized press, but also of the general public and consumers ".
After BuyWine it's time to “PrimAnteprima”, The regional collective preview scheduled on 15 February always at the Fortezza da Basso (Cavaniglia pavilion) which coincides with the inauguration of the Tuscany 2020 Preview Week (February 15-22). PrimAnprima will offer the opportunity to professionals and specialized press from all over the world to taste the vintages just placed on the market by important Tuscan Consortia such as: Carmignano, Chianti Rufina, Colline Lucchesi, Maremma Toscana, Montecucco, Orcia, Terre di Pisa and Valdarno di Sopra.
The highlight event is scheduled at 12 noon on Saturday 15 February: a round table attended by the Councilor for Agriculture of the Tuscany Region Marco Remaschi together with distinguished guests and experts, moderated by Nicola Prudente, alias Red, conductor of Decanter Rai Radio2 and #MPEF La7. Fabio del Bravo ISMEA will present the latest data on wine production in Tuscany and the challenges of the markets; Francesco Mazzei, president of Avito will talk about the prospects of wine-growing Tuscany; Donatella Cinelli Colombini, President of the Orcia Wine Consortium will present an innovative territorial wine marketing project; Roberto Scalacci of the Tuscany Region will talk about the new CAP 2021-2027. The professor Attilio Scienza, Professor of Viticulture of the University of Milan, will talk about the oenological experiment that has retraced, after 2.500 years, the production of the legendary wine of the island of Chios. The goal is to let him know the context where the Tuscan wine is produced, to bring them closer to the agri-food, artistic, historical and natural excellences of our region so that they return to their countries with a piece of Tuscany in their hearts. The tours are organized thanks to the Chambers of Commerce of Florence, Lucca, Maremma Tirreno, Massa Carrara and Pisa, and thanks to the fundamental collaboration with the Consortia Chianti, Chianti Classico, Chianti Rufina, Colline Lucchesi, Maremma Toscana, Montecarlo, Morellino di Scansano, Montecucco and Terre di Pisa.
THE TUSCAN HEROES OF WINE AWARDED - A Tuscany that is increasingly fertile ground for the wine system and increasingly pink. During the press conference, Councilor Remaschi rewarded two women who are helping to raise the name of Tuscany: Carlotta Salvini, awarded the title of Best Sommelier of Italy FISAR 2019 e Barbara Tamburini, winner of the Oscar of Wine-Giacomo Tachis Award as best Winemaker 2019.
Also reward the Tuscan companies producing the medal wines at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2019, one of the most prestigious international wine competitions and BuyWine partner for some years.
