The restaurant that made history in Chianti taking its name from the typical straw hat, which became a cultural and artistic symbol of the nineteenth century, reopens by putting the straw on the counter and more. The new adventure of the owners Aldo Tistarelli e Stephen Taglietti, undertaken in the complex phase of the pandemic, began with about fifty pizzas prepared and baked in the renovated restaurant for families in need in the area.

A solidarity inauguration, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Greve in Chianti, the parish and the Caritas, raised the shutters of the room "Boater”, Located in San Polo in Chianti and inactive for some years.

"To give a positive signal to our community - said the owners - we have decided to invest the resources of the inaugural event in a symbolic operation to support the people who are currently suffering most from the effects of the pandemic".

The initiative was coordinated by the councilor for social policies Ilary Scarpelli. The pizzas were delivered at home thanks to the availability of the volunteers of the Caritas of San Polo.
