La Fattoria Betti, cellar with 20 hectares of vineyard, located in quarrata, (Pistoia), continues its path of profound connection with the art world, and this time it does so together with the known LDB Pistoia stencil artist.
This month is in fact quite lively for the winery founded in 2003 and led by brothers Guido and Gherardo Betti, given that the next On Thursday 18 July a personal exhibition of LDB will be inaugurated on the estate: the appointment is fixed at 19.30 in the cellar, when the public can finally discover the works.
The presentation will be accompanied by a appetizer edited by the sommeliers of the Fisar Pistoia delegation, which will serve one of the white wines of the range, Tuscan White IGT Creto de 'Betti 2018, together with gastronomic creations of the personal chefs of "The Dinner". I will have the special cost of 15,00 euros.
LDB was born in Pistoia and the kind of graffiti art known as stencil art he has represented for him since his primary education - which took place in his hometown - the main form of expression. This is a technique in which graffiti is created by means of a stencil, a normographic mask from which spray paint is diffused: in this way it is possible to reproduce the same identical image in an unlimited number of copies. LDB has always considered this procedure not only in a decorative sense, but as an expressive tool that allowed it to intervene in the city by integrating with urban scenarios and enhancing them. In the last few years the well-deserved consecration then came, when his work Batman.2 has been included in the most important multichannel platform in the world, "Global Street Art".
As anticipated, to celebrate the event the public will find itself tasting the aforementioned White Tuscan IGT Creto de 'Betti”, Wine produced with Chardonnay 70% and Trebbiano Toscano 30% which was launched on the market for the first time in 2005: a glass that expresses a marked freshness to taste, with aromas ranging from rose to tropical notes, really in harmony, for his original personality, with an occasion like this.
"Our cellar has been intertwining with the path of contemporary art for a long time, my great passion for years, just like wine: both are primarily an art form "- he says -" we started hosting exhibitions on the estate since 2017, with a collective that included works by Andrea Rusin e Gabriele Mosti, to then continue in the 2018 with other exhibitions including those of the sculptress Mia Castro and the painter Carol Kohler. We also keep a Taiwanese artist's permanent Shan Pin which many remember for a memorable opening in which even the Ambassador of Taiwan participated. Here, our dream is to continue in this direction: to produce wines with a growing passion to let them know about our beautiful territory and create an artistic park around the cellar that people can explore while enjoying our glasses ”.
The LDB exhibition will be open until the end of September: it will also be an opportunity to discover another permanent work of art, or the cellar same, liberty style building dated 1903 which, very rare, was built not for residential purposes but precisely with this destination.
