Back to Pontassieve the Toscanello d'Oro, the traditional festival that every year from the 1970 animates the historic center of Pontassieve. The Proloco of Pontassieve this year, to celebrate half a century of life, proposes, in collaboration with the municipal administration of Pontassieve, a five-day event - 29 from May to June 2 2019 - with important names from the world of entertainment combined with a series of initiatives to rediscover the tradition of excellence in the territory such as wine.
Il Toscanello d'Oro it was conceived in the 1969 by a group of friends from the Valdisieve area who imagined, under the aegis of Don Giorgio Cerbai, to create a Chianti wine exhibition-market. The initiative, realized for the first time in 1970 in San Francesco (Pelago) soon became an important regional and national exhibition, also thanks to the important wine competition that saw the challenge of farms. An initiative re-proposed with constancy over the years and that despite crossing moments of crisis and finally of profound renewal over the decades has been carried out over five decades sinceAssociation "Toscanello d'Oro"(Until the early 2000 years) and finally reborn thanks to Proloco of Pontassieve. "So much wine has passed under the bridge", but the historical experience continues its life and will celebrate its "golden wedding" in style.

The wine in the center The heart of the event, as at the origins of the festival, becomes wine again: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and via Tanzini will in fact be entirely dedicated to “Cittadella and the Via del Vino“, Which will host the stands of the wine houses of the Valdisieve area.
