The 40th season ofFlorentine Chamber Orchestra finally begins, in compliance with the security measures for the Coronavirus emergency, thanks to the support of Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Tuscany region, Metropolitan City of Florence, City of Florence, CR Florence Foundation, Intesa Sanpaolo e Leggiero Foundation.

The big movie soundtracks are brought to life on the opening night of Thursday June 18 toAuditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte. In Big Screen Music - this is the title - the melodies of de Life is Beautiful, Once upon a time in America, The postman and other unforgettable pages lent to the seventh art, signed by Nicola Piovani, Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov e Nino Rota. The direction is entrusted to Giuseppe Lanzetta, soloists Raffaele Chieli to the trumpet e Fernando Ramsés Peña Díaz on the piano.

The second evening, Thursday June 25, again at 21 pm at the Auditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte, is a tribute to two great Italian songwriters who have disappeared, Lucio Dalla e Pino Daniele, and their many fans. Excellent opportunity to let yourself be lulled by the notes of When, Napule is, Caruso, Piazza Grande and other cornerstones from their respective repertoires, transcribed in a symphonic key by Fernando Ramsés Peña Díaz, which we find on the piano together with the Orchestra.

Revisiting Mozart and Bach in a jazz key: daring enterprise with wonderful results, in which the Fiorentina Chamber Orchestra engages in the double appointment of Monday 29 e Tuesday 30 June in Courtyard of Michelozzo of Palazzo Medici Riccardi which opens the season en-plein-air. On the podium the Armenian director Vahan Mardirossian, on the program the Fourth Brandenburg Concerto - structurally a large concert in which the main violin takes on an almost solo role - and the Symphony n. 29 in the major K. 201 di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: elaborate architecture, pervaded by a graceful spirit in which the individual instruments stand out.
