For the "Contemporary Visions" section, the 27 January, at 17, Teatro dei Rozzi, Laura Curino will bring on the scene "The list. Saving art: Pasquale Rotondi's masterpiece ", a drama written by her with the collaboration of Beatrice Marzorati and Federico Negro, for historical research, which pays tribute to the figure of Pasquale Rotondi, the man who saved many works of art from war destruction and Nazi rapacity.

The show, produced and distributed by Silvia Brecciaroli and Paola Cimatti of Formula Servizi per la Cultura, avails itself of the collaboration with the staging of Gabriele Vacis.

Pasquale Rotondi, Superintendent of the Galleries and Works of Art of the Marche during the years of occupation and war, is the person who, obeying only his ethical conscience and his sense of responsibility, prevented the Nazis from getting their hands on paintings by Giorgione, Tintoretto, Piero della Francesca, Lotto, Mantegna, Donatello, Correggio, Caravaggio, Tiepolo, and many other masterpieces.

It is the story of an adventure, of precious places like the Ducal Palace of Urbino or the Rocca of Sassocorvaro, and of works of immense value, brought to safety by a handful of people without money and without tools. It is the story of a man capable of making difficult decisions, going against the orders of his superiors and endangering his security and that of his family, in order to safeguard the artistic heritage of his country.
