After just nine days, the crowdfunding campaign “#SOSTIENIUNINFERMIERE: in Florence solidarity spreads faster than the virus "ends with the achievement of a great goal: 50 thousand euros in donations to help nurses who arrived in Florence for the COVID-19 emergency.
In just four days, 20 thousand Euros were reached on the GoFundMe.com platform (gofundme.com/f/sostenuninfermiere), a threshold that triggered the doubling of the figure reached by Fondazione CR Firenze. The initiative was conceived by Claudio Ciai Foundation, promoted and supported by Foundation CR FlorenceIn partnership with Siamosolidali e Feel Crowd, Under the patronage of City of Florence. A response to the appeal, received by the Interprovincial Order of the Nursing Professions of Florence and Pistoia, to welcome these professionals.
553 donors were made locally, nationally and internationally. The initiative was also open to associations in the network of Siamosolidali. Some of these made a donation to the initiative instead they made themselves available to support the campaign by putting themselves on the front line for the promotion and activation of their communities: Noi per Voi, Telefono Voce Amica Firenze, Pianeta Elisa Onlus, La Nuova Pippolese.
The campaign also benefited from the involvement of Orchestras of the Enchanted City: Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Fiesole Music School, Cherubini Conservatory and Fiorentina Chamber Orchestra, who supported the initiative with selfies and social posts on the occasion of their home concerts.
The huge social chain with the hashtag #SosengoUnInfermiere was attended by many personalities known locally and nationally such as: in the world of politics the mayor Dario Nardella, the President of the Regional Council of Tuscany Eugenio Giani, the councilor for Walfare and Sanità Andrea Vannucci together with other councilors of the council of the Municipality of Florence, presidents and councilors of the districts; some athletes such as Elena Linari, Arianna Ferratti and Stéphanie Ohrstrom; among the journalists Selvaggia Lucarelli, Francesca Tofanari, Matteo Dovellini and Leonardo Canestrelli; some Florentine bloggers and influencers such as Lorenzo Baglioni, Sara Gazzini and Elena Farinelli; from the social world Zia Caterina, Father Bernardo and Clara Woods; some artists such as Gaia Nanni, Lorenzo Hugolini, Skim, Walter Savelli, Alessandro Riccio, the Italian producer Chiara Tilesi. Great support also from abroad thanks to international influencers and bodies, for example the European University Institute.
