The web becomes a new gateway for fifteen independent bookshops in Florence thanks to "Firenze books - Booksellers on the Net”, A new project carried out by Confartigianato Imprese Florence with the support of Palazzo Vecchio: a virtual showcase that throughout December will showcase the most beautiful books to give at Christmas.

Over 50 cultural events - including book presentations and meetings with the authors - will be broadcast on the YouTube channel and on the social networks of Confartigianato Firenze and of the individual bookstores. These are accompanied by a calendar of live events and video-pills thanks to which the booksellers will introduce themselves, telling stories and peculiarities of their "shops". In addition, Confartigianato Firenze will create a video dedicated to the 15 bookstores that will always go online on the association's social channels.

"Firenze books - Booksellers on the Net”Was the winning project of the tender presented by the Municipality of Florence to support the relaunch of Florentine economic activities, with particular attention to the enhancement of independent bookstores, especially in conjunction with the Christmas holidays.


From local history to fashion, from travel to music, from children's books to art: each of the 15 bookstores involved in the project has specialized in a specific segment of the vast world of books, becoming a point of reference not only for the neighborhoods that host but also for the entire city.
