The third edition of the contemporary sculpture exhibition Flowers, which will be offered to visitors in the Garden of via Micheli 3 throughout the summer.
This year the theme of boundaries is the guiding thread between the works of the students of the Sculpture course - three years and two years - of the Academy of Fine Arts. The borders of Eden is in fact the title that the curators Giandomenico Semeraro, Alessandra Porfidia and Vincenzo Ventimiglia have wanted to give this third edition of Flowers that will again see the art peacefully invade the boundaries of that corner of paradise nestled in the historic center of Florence which is the Botanical Garden.
The background is the works: the flowerbeds, the fountain, the pools and the Hot Greenhouse of the Botanical Garden. The exhibition will be open from July 9 to September 3 during the opening hours of the Botanical Garden, and will be offered with an admission ticket.
Flowers is the exhibition of contemporary sculpture that has been held in collaboration with the Museum System of the University of Florence for three years. This year the title of the exhibition that will accompany visitors throughout the summer is the borders of Eden, which starting from the idea of geographical border - today dramatically current - evokes Eden, a space in which the "beautiful" binds with the "good", as in the Botanical Garden where the Semplici are cultivated and studied, namely the Simple Medicaments.
