Third edition of the Flowers contemporary sculpture exhibition, which will be open to visitors to the Garden in via Micheli 3 throughout the summer.

This year, the theme of borders will act as a common thread between the works of the students of the three-year and two-year course of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. The borders of Eden is in fact the title that the curators Giandomenico Semeraro, Alessandra Porfidia and Vincenzo Ventimiglia wanted to give to this third edition of Flowers which will again see art peacefully invade the borders of that corner of paradise nestled in the historic center of Florence which is the Botanical Garden.

As a background to the works: the flower beds, the fountain, the ponds and the Warm Greenhouse of the Botanical Garden. The exhibition will be open from 9 July to 3 September during the opening hours of the Botanical Garden, and will be offered with the entrance ticket.

Flowers is the contemporary sculpture exhibition that has been held for three years in collaboration with the Florentine University Museum System. This year the title of the exhibition that will accompany visitors throughout the summer is The Borders of Eden, which starting from the idea of a geographical border - today dramatically current - evokes Eden, a space in which "beauty" is linked with the "good", as in the Botanical Garden where the Semplici, or Medicaments Semplici, are cultivated and studied.
