The Court of Auditors has officially approved the 2016 - 2018 three-year Recovery Plan of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation, after favorable opinions from the Extraordinary Government Commissioner for the lyrical-symphonic Foundations, lawyer Gianluca Sole, and the Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities, Alberto Bonisoli, in concert with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Giovanni Tria.

"It is an important step on the path to stability of our Foundation and allows us to now set the future on even more solid foundations," says the superintendent of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Cristiano Chiarot. "This circumstance certifies how the process undertaken in recent years is going in the right direction."

The Foundation had presented changes and updates to the original plan to achieve a balanced budget and balance sheet, taking into account the re-capitalization of the partner institutions, the Municipality of Florence and the Tuscany Region which took place in the 2018.

"Obviously, there remain critical issues from a financial and cash point of view" continues the superintendent, "but these can now be faced with greater serenity and conviction also thanks to the hard work of everyone and the closeness shown, not only in words, by the Region Tuscany and the Municipality of Florence, who have never failed to contribute to the Foundation.
