The whole world of tourism and culture is experiencing a moment of severe crisis, and the category of guide, one of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 emergency, is perhaps among the most damaged. Paola Migliosi, President of Confguide, launches an appeal to the institutions for urgent intervention. Among the proposals put forward by the president, the reopening of museums during weekends, the most important days for visiting families, students and workers.

“Like Confguide - declared the president Improved - what we ask is that the state, in such a difficult phase, help us to carry out our work in the awareness that times have changed. This means that, if the conditions are right, museums should return to stay open on weekends, so that tour guides can have the opportunity to propose guided tours.

It will be essential to implement a series of changes regarding the organization of visits in order to manage the total security the flow of visitors, avoiding gatherings and regulating the use of places of culture based on the spaces available. I am convinced that in order to help us restart the state must provide for one inclusive vision, through a concertation between the categories and the State. Other than that, we need one planning because it is essential to start projects for this sector which, I want to remind you, needs one organizational strategy, otherwise for the guides there is the risk of another two very difficult years ".
