With this Brunello 2016 we are in Montalcino, la Fanti estate it extends for 260 hectares in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, of which 55 are vineyards. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 150 and 430 meters above sea level, the soil is of volcanic origin and is rich in skeleton made up of rocks from Galestro and Alberese.

The grapes vinify for 25-30 days in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature (maximum 28 ° C). The wine ages for 24 months, 50% in 225 l barriques and 50% in 30 hl barrels, it is then refined in the bottle for 18 months.

Intense ruby ​​red with garnet reflections, clean and elegant nose with notes of blueberry and blackberry and hints of orange. On the palate it is enveloping and classic in style, the sip is mellow and satisfying, with a pleasant finish of coffee and tobacco.

It can be paired well with red meat dishes but also truffles, my advice is to try it with a wild boar alla cacciatora.
