Tutto Schubert Wednesday 6 NovemberAuditorium of the CR Firenze Foundation (21 hours) together with Fiesole Quartet, embellished for the occasion by the cellist Marco Dalsass, within the festival The Concerts of the Liuteria Toscana.
Journey to the dawn of romanticism, through two mature pages of the Viennese composer, the “String quintet op 163 " and the " The String Quintet in C major D.956”, The latter completed a few months before the disappearance.
Special guest at the cello, as mentioned, will be Marco Dalsass: a great lover of the baroque repertoire, he trained with Enrico Egano, Antonio Janigro and Rocco Filippini. Dalsass has a long international concert career and is one of the founders of the NovArtBaroqueEnsemble.
Concerts at major international festivals and record releases also mark the path of the Fiesole Quartet, born thirty years ago under the guidance of Piero Farulli. The current line-up consists of two founding members, the violinist Alina Company and the cellist Sandra Bacci, who was joined by Simone Ferrari on the second violin and Flaminia Zanelli on the viola in the 2016. After having used 1700 instruments for many years, the Fiesole Quartet chose to play instruments Marino Capicchioni - a violin maker originally from San Marino, active until 1977 - to have a homogeneity that in other combinations would have been less pronounced.
These are instruments of great refinement and value, all present in various publications and belonging to mature production. The violin of Alina Company, of 1971, was for 45 years in the collection and preserves the original traits of the author, in fact neither soul nor bridge have been replaced. Another luminous example of the master's violin making is the violin by Simone Ferrari, of the 1953.
The viola played by Flaminia Zanelli, of 1950, and the cello of the year 1962 played by Sandra Bacci, are representative references of the author's style.
In collaboration with i Wednesday Musical of the CR Firenze Foundation.
Scheduled in Florence from October to December 2019, the Tuscan Violin Making Concerts celebrate the violin making of yesterday. Some instruments, of historical value, have been restored just the review and will resound for the first time in decades.
