At the table in the Middle Ages

Sunday, October 4, at “F @ Mu 2015,” the National Day of Families at the Museum, the MUSEUM OF MEDIEVAL CASTLE AND CERAMICS, in the center of Piombino, proposes a special event dedicated to families with “A TABLE IN THE MIDDLE AGES “, a morning dedicated to food of the Middle Ages.

From 10.00 you will be able to make a special visit to this museum where boredom has no place among multimedia installations, exhibits to see and touch, evocative sound installations.

The theme that will tell you the food, the table and forms ceramic tableware in the Middle Ages. At the end there will be a workshop of bread with flour ancient grains that will be done by Ida Roncareggi (Val di Cornia Bio Association) in collaboration with the Project Company Sterpaia.

In the afternoon, continue the tour to the Museum.

For the occasion, the entrance to the Museum with the workshop is free for children up to 14 years, while their parents will benefit from the reduced rate of € 4.00 which includes museum admission and tour. Free admission for holders of pArcheoPASS residents.

The National Day of Familiesl Museum of 4 October 2015 aims to be a tool to promote a stimulating meeting between parents, children and museums; an opportunity to show how a museum can be cozy and how children with Families can be excellent ‘consumers of culture’.
